At the time, I was simply trying to stay connected to painting, attention, and the act of making things.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThat small painting unexpectedly led me towards painting small, allowing me to iterate, experiment, and refine my choices more quickly. It eventually opened the path towards my Monument Valley series and later ReGenesis, my installation of hundreds of small paintings shown at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eNow, returning to painting small again, it somehow felt right to begin with cherries once more.
