ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hi, I’m Sarmed, a Glasgow-based artist trained at the Edinburgh Atelier in traditional drawing. My passion lies in capturing faces—expressive, unique, and full of character.

I’ve had the pleasure of exhibiting my work and running drawing workshops in Canada, the USA, Dubai, and the UK. 

I’m also a proud member of the prestigious Paisley Art Institute (PAI, Est. 1876).

HOW TO GET STARTED

1. Choose Your Photo: Send me a clear photo you’d like to be drawn. If you’re unsure, feel free to send multiple options or discuss ideas with me.

2. Select Your Size: Choose a size that suits your needs. If your preferred size isn’t listed, let me know and we can discuss custom dimensions.

3. Payment: If you are ready to place the order then go ahead now and make the 50% deposit payment here.
   
   Or once we agree on the photo and price, payment can be made via PayPal or credit/debit card. A 50% deposit secures your order, with the balance due upon completion.

4. Duration: Completion time is typically 7–21 working days, depending on the size and current demand. I’ll inform you if a longer timeframe is needed.

5. Progress Updates: At key stages, I’ll send you a photo of the work for any feedback or changes. Once finished, I’ll seek your final approval before applying a protective fixative and preparing for shipment.

The prices are for single portrait (1 Head)

EXTRA DETALS AND MOTIFS

Every portrait I create is more than an image; it’s a story. I offer the option to include meaningful elements from your loved one’s life, whether it’s their favourite flower, a cherished memory, or symbols of their passions and achievements.

• Suggestions: 
  • If they loved music, I could incorporate a piano key motif.
  • For someone who loved gardening, I could add flowers that remind you of them. And so on.

Any additional motifs can be added from £50-£150 depending on size or complexity and will be prediscussed and decided. Upon request I will send a questionnaire which can be filled out to share details about the life of your loved one.

REFERENCE IMAGE TIPS

For the best results, please send a clear, high-quality photo. If you only have an older or blurry photo, feel free to send it. I’ll do my best to enhance it for drawing. I can also combine multiple images into a single portrait upon request.

PERSONALISATION

Would you like to add personalised elements? Inspirational details or significant symbols can be included by arrangement. If your request requires re-composition, additional costs will be discussed beforehand - no surprises!

FRAMING

The drawing will be unframed. Upon request, I’m happy to advise on framing options or arrange framing for an additional cost.

MATERIALS AND CARE

Each portrait is drawn on high-quality, acid-free archival paper, ensuring it lasts over 100 years. I’ll provide care instructions to help preserve your artwork.
