The barbed wire glows now
not with metal, but with decision.
It has become signal.
Electric. Automated. Unfeeling.

There’s a hum where the hands meet
the last place left warm.
But all around, the red rises like a system alert.
A silent scream to remind us what’s at stake.

This is not violence in the old sense.
This is forgetting people.
Turning lives into data points.
Letting systems 
AI, policy, border tech
deciding who matters
and who can quietly fall out of frame.

This image holds the moment before we give in to the story.
Before we start blaming each other.
Before we forget we’re still human.
