Painting 004 from The 1000 Paintings Project

Original oil painting on archival, museum-grade Ampersand Gessobord, presented in a portable mint tin containing the palette used to create the work.

There have been periods in my life when creativity felt less like self-expression and more like opening a window inside myself. Airing out stale rooms. Letting light back into places that had quietly gone dim.

Painting often does that for me. It shifts something internally before I even fully understand what is happening.

This painting is part of The 1000 Paintings Project, an ongoing series exploring observation, repetition, memory, and the emotional residue of ordinary moments.

The tin functions as easel, protective carry case, and display object, carrying traces of the painting process itself through the remaining colour palette.
