Gathering II is a new 49-painting work from Sarmed Mirza’s ongoing Zero Ground: ReGenesis series, currently being assembled for the forthcoming exhibition at Skypark, Glasgow.

Like Gathering I, it brings individually painted 2 × 3 inch oil works into a larger field. Each painting retains its own identity while relationships emerge through colour, gesture, rhythm and proximity.

From a distance, the work reads as a unified visual field. At close range, the individuality, texture and physical presence of each painting reassert themselves.

Gathering II will be unveiled as part of Zero Ground: ReGenesis at Skypark, Glasgow and will be available to acquire following completion.
